Häufiges Einsatzgebiet der EDSP 1,33 ist der Rand von Brücken. Dort wird sie in Verbindung mit einem Geländer als Absturzsicherung verwendet. Beide Anprallversuche in der Stufe H1 und H2 verliefen erfolgreich, so dass dieses System auch weiterhin als Standardlösung auf Brücken, die mit einer Kappe verwendet werden kann.
